Let's just say I love my siblings. We have been best buddies since I can remember. Don't get me wrong we would fight like crazy. Once we were so angry with my little sister we locked her up in the bathroom and then went out to play and forgot about her. Imagine our surprise when we got back around five...But that's what siblings do. you fight and five minutes later you are best buds again. Well we worked really hard so that they could come spend to summer with me and stephen (and marcela occassionally) and the day has come!! they get here on Friday. I haven't seen them since last summer sooo it's been a awhile.
Here are some cool stories of our childhood (although our childhood is not over since we are still children:)
-when we were little we used to love going to the pool. We would play this game were we would throw a penny or anything that would sink, into the pool and then dive to see who could get it first. As dumb as this sounds we loved it. we would play it for hours until we were so sunburned we couldn't put clothes on cause it ripped our skin. boy were we happy. pool honeys!!!!
-we used to play city in the house. FYI parents should really not leave there kids alone in the house. as soon as my mom would leave we would all pick a room and convert it into our store. Marcela had a restaurant and would create her own food and serve it in those tiny plates you get when you're a kid. I would sell our clothes in the room and carry my baby around and tito and tita would buy. somehow marcela would always end up with all the money....
-i need to confess that we were not the behaved kids. We had some addictions. One of them being gambling. Yes we liked to gamble. We would gather all the coins in the house and play our own version of poker (which we called seven crazy men). We would play all summer. Once we were playing in my aunts dining room on a Sunday....and the bishop came in we quickly threw all the coins to the floor but we didn't think about the tinkling noice it would make when they fell. the bishop just laughed and sent us to read our scriptures.
-we didn't have cable so in the summers we had to get creative. We loved hiking and biking and walking through the jungle. Once, inspired by Lassie, we decided to go deep into the forest and then follow our dog home, since obviously he was a over intelligent canine and would lead us there efficiently. We walked for hours untill we realized we were five minutes away from our backyard. boy those were the days.
