I spent the rest of the day cooking the food for his dinner and hiding his presents. We created this tradition last year were we find our presents through a treasure hunt. I found some awesome clues this year but maybe a little too awesome cause Esteban couldn't figure them out. Stephen got some Andes chocolate (if you are an olive garden addict like ourselves you'll know what I'm talking about), gift card to olive garden (really we are addicts), a sweet old school mariner's shirt, and two pass of all passes. That's right, we are going to have the best summer ever with those passes. I am exhausted but seeing Stephen so happy was so worth it. Stephen transfomed from a stressed college student into a happy little five year old boy.
For dinner I made tacos. We had this awesome shredded pork our friends made for dinner and I decided to use that recipe for the meat. Seriously best meat ever. Who would have known green salsa, brown sugar and coke were so good together? To close the night we ate homemade icecream cake. I just youtubed icecream cake and found the easiest recipe.
I love love love birthdays. I'm usually very practical and thrifty but when it comes to birthdays I go all out, especially when it comes to Stephen. I think every person deserves to be treated special atleast once a year and what better than an awesome birthday to do the trick? Can't wait for Stephen's birthday next year to come up with more cool stuff. Maybe I'll suprise him with a baby next year. He'll never see that one coming...
Absolutamente creo que le debes dar la sorpresa de un embarazo next year. You are such a gringa, now, with your blog. Sounds like you're having a good time back in Utah.
